Queering Disability

Brought to you by Crip Care, Stonington Pride, and yours truly, Queering Disability is building a truly intersectional, grassroots community of advocates and activists, rooted in the principles of disability justice.

We’re seeking folks who want to learn about policy and legislation here in Connecticut, and who want to get involved in making change for our communities.

Queering Disability aims to empower and bring together folks who are:

  • Dedicated to diversity, intersectionality, and disability & queer justice.

  • Interested in learning about and taking action on policy and legislation that impacts disabled and queer individuals.

  • Excited about working to affect change in our communities.

  • Drawn to informative sessions by experts.

  • Inspired to lift others up as we build power, together.

If you’d like to be updated on upcoming events and what we’re working on, hop on the NO-SPAM mailing list!

Most of the work that I do in this arena is unpaid; it is work that I do because it matters deeply to me, impacts me personally, and absolutely lights my fire. That said, I would like to say that disabled folk, as much as anyone else, deserve to be paid for their work. My work should not be held up as an example of how disabled folk should work for free for causes we care about or that matter to us.

With that in mind, if you appreciate the work that I do and would like to support it and me, you can Buy Me A Coffee or join my Substack
